Accomplishments

Albert OniAlbert Oni is a native of Silver Spring Maryland where he grew up playing club soccer for the Wheaton Wolves and Columbia City United NCSL Soccer teams (1987 national champions). During that time Albert was a regular selection in the Maryland Olympic Development Program. He attended Montgomery Blair HS where he earned a starting spot in the Varsity team receiving honorable mention all- state as a freshman. He then transfered to Springbrook HS and had the honor of playing for coach Ian Bain who was one of the best players in his time where he captained Howard University to four Division 1 championships. Albert lead the team to being a dominant power in that era, where he was a three time All state selection.

He then attended Essex C.C. where he got to play for Pete Caringi leading them to the national championship as a freshman in 1989. In that same year he and co-captain Rob Elliott lead the Dundalk Post 38 club team to winning the indoor national championship. He then followed his coach Caringi and transferred to UMBC leading them to a 15-3-1 season.

After college, Albert joined the Washington Warthogs where he played for coach Jim Gabarra on his first pro team. After numerous knee surgeries Albert completed his playing careeer with the Baltimore Spirit, also known as the Baltimore Blast, where he was coached by Mike Stankovic. He then began coaching locally. He began coaching the PSC Elite girls team at U-10 all the way to U-18, Mercy HS, and ran several soccer clinics in the DC/Maryland area. Having the experience of being coached by the best, and playing alongside some of the best, Albert really enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion with the players that come through the academy! Some of the academy's success include development of:the 2006 Baltimore Sun Player Of The Year (Jessie Knight), the 2006 Baltimore City Player Of The Year (Kristen Carr), the 2005 Baltimore City Player Of The Year and High School All-American (Brittany Hadaway). Albert really enjoys developing players and looks forward to developing many more future stars with his amazing coaching staff!
